SUM 2020 is going virtual! The Symposium will be held entirely digitally, allowing us to welcome further paper proposals. If you were interested in submitting your paper, but your ability to attend the conference was uncertain, now is your chance! Send us your proposal for a virtual presentation within 3rd September.
Papers must address one of the conference topics and be prepared using the paper template provided. Papers must be submitted as a MS WORD file attachment using the online submission form. Contributions in the form of short papers (3-4 pages) will also be accepted.
The official languages of the Symposium are English and Italian. Papers may be submitted for oral or poster presentation, in English or Italian (or both) for inclusion in English and Italian sessions, respectively.
Papers will be selected following evaluation by an international panel of referees. Acceptance of papers will be notified to the corresponding author within 20 days from submisssion. Authors not receiving an e-mail notifying the acceptance of their paper should contact the Organising Secretariat.
Accepted papers will qualify the presenting author alone for payment of a discounted registration fee, which must be paid strictly at the time of papers acceptance. Authors presenting their work in an oral session will also be requested to submit their PowerPoint presentations no later than 5th November 2020.
All papers presented at the conference will be published on a dedicated volume of Symposium proceedings. Additionally, a considerable number of leading papers will be processed for publication on special thematic issues on international renowned journals.
